Nottingham Forest are reportedly close to signing Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban - and the club’s fans on Twitter believe he would be an excellent addition at the City Ground.

The 30-year-old could join the Championship side in a £5million switch this week, according to the Sun.

His exit from Bournemouth looks likely with one year left on his deal and he could be the latest player to join Aitor Karanka’s revolution, as Forest look set for a real promotion bid next season.

Grabban spent the last campaign on loan in the Championship during spells with Sunderland and Aston Villa, scoring a combined total of 20 goals.

He has proven he is a predatory attacker that thrives in the penalty area and is also decent in the air, something that was missing at the City Ground last season.

Forest fans on Twitter are convinced that he is the right man to lead the line next season in their starting XI and are not deterred by the reported £5million price tag.

The 30-year-old is a journeyman that has played for 11 clubs so far in his career, but to his credit has scored goals at a frequent rate for most of them.
