Give him a chance. Great talent.— Brian Reilly (@brian_reilly81) July 3, 2018
Really hope @mikeyjohnston10 can do enough this pre-season to get some serious game time. Has all the tools to be as exciting as Patrick Roberts. Needs the chance and the confidence of the manager.— CeltsAreHere (@CeltsAreHere) July 3, 2018
The youngster dazzled with his performance, and managed to get on the scoresheet during the contest.
Celtic’s other goal was through Scott Sinclair, but it was Johnston’s showing which really had Bhoys fans talking.
Johnston made just three league appearances for Celtic last term, and he claimed one assist.
The youngster is regarded as one of the Bhoys’ brightest prospects, and Patrick Roberts’ departure from Parkhead could elevate him up the pecking order in Rodgers’ side.
