Newcastle are said to be in negotiations with Chelsea for the Brazilian now, and the Blues have reportedly indicated that a deal is possible.
That news can only be treated as a major positive for Newcastle, although it is not yet clear whether Rafael Benitez’s side are pursuing a loan or a permanent deal for the winger.
Kenedy was in wonderful form after joining Newcastle in January last year, and his performances were a major reason behind why Benitez’s side were able to stay up so comfortably.
Newcastle have had a quiet transfer window so far, but really seem to be stepping up their attempts to make signings now, with Kenedy in their sights.
If Kenedy does arrive at Newcastle, he is likely to go straight into Benitez’s starting line-up for next term.
