Jordan Hugill’s and Chris Martin’s potential strike partnership at Queens Park Rangers could be very effective next season, if Steve McClaren can bring them both to Loftus Road.
Hugill and Martin are both linked with moves to QPR, as McClaren looks to improve his strike-force.
Rangers struggled for goals last term, with none of their forward options hitting the net with any frequency.
Matt Smith was QPR’s top scorer on 11 goals, but Idrissa Sylla and Conor Washington both failed to break into double figures.
McClaren is now eyeing up additions to make his Rangers side more of a threat, with Hugill and Martin both said to be on his radar.
And if QPR can bring in the pair, then they look like far more proven scorers at Championship level than any player in McClaren’s current squad.
Martin’s form over the past campaign may not have been too impressive, but McClaren has previously got the best out of the Scottish international.
And if QPR can pull off the double-swoop, any defender that comes up against Hugill and Martin next season will know they are set for a physical battle.
