Sunderland are claimed to be interested in Peterborough United’s Jack Baldwin in the summer transfer window.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested on social networking site Twitter that the club have turned down Sunderland’s offer for Jack Baldwin.

MacAnthony has revealed on Twitter that Sunderland, who will play in League One after getting relegated from the Championship, did ask Peterborough about Baldwin.

The Posh chairman, though, has stated that the Black Cats’ offer for the 24-year-old, who can operate as a defender or as a midfielder, was not acceptable.
