Leeds United tied up their first signing of the summer this morning as Lewis Baker arrived on loan from Chelsea – and another deal with the Blues could be imminent.

The Whites snapped up playmaker Baker as Marcelo Bielsa's first signing, with the former England Under-21 international brought in to offer more creativity in midfield.

Baker may not be the only arrival from Chelsea though, as eagle-eyed fans spotted Blues goalkeeper Jamal Blackman at Leeds' Thorp Arch training ground on Friday, as reported by HITC, before Sky Sports claimed that there is legitimate interest from the Whites.

Blackman, 24, has come up through the ranks with Chelsea having joined back in 2006, and has spent time out on loan with Middlesbrough, Ostersunds, Wycombe Wanderers and Sheffield United.

The 6ft 6in stopper impressed with the Blades last season, but won't be heading back to Bramall Lane due to Chris Wilder signing Manchester United's Dean Henderson instead this summer.

Blackman is nowhere near the Chelsea first team and could now return to Yorkshire with Leeds, who have been looking for a goalkeeper to become first choice next season.

However, many Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to suggest that they feel a deal for Blackman is 'odd', and they would rather keep Bailey Peacock-Farrell in goal next season.

Others hailed Blackman based off his displays for Sheffield United last season, and believe that Leeds will be making a quality signing by bringing him to Elland Road.
