Brendan Rodgers says more to come from Celtic star Callum McGregor

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has told The Glasgow Evening Times that there is more to come from Callum McGregor.

McGregor, who has been on the books of Celtic since 2001, has established himself as an important player for the Glasgow giants over the past two seasons.

The 25-year-old midfielder scored seven goals and provided four assists in 36 Scottish Premiership appearances for the Hoops last season, according to Transfermarkt.com.

Rodgers has praised the progress made by the Scotland international, and has stated that there is more to come from the midfielder.

“Callum McGregor, for example, I look at the authority and the confidence he plays with now to when I came in,” Rodgers told The Glasgow Evening Times. “There’s more to come from him as well.”
