Everton are reportedly keen on signing the Girona defender.
According to a report from Spanish media outlet AS, Everton are interested in signing Girona centre-back Juanpe Ramirez, and the Toffees could be on the verge of securing themselves a real bargain.
Spanish publication Fichajes claims that the 27-year-old has an £8.8 million release clause inserted into his current contract with the La Liga side, and in today's day and age that would represent fantastic value for Everton.
Juanpe joined Girona from Valladolid in the summer of 2016, and he has gone onto really impress, making 68 appearances in all competitions in the process.
Standing at 6ft 2in, the Spaniard is strong in the air but he is also quick along the ground - two attributes that make him an extremely solid all-round defender.
He is also not afraid to mix things physically with his opponents - something that will stand him in great stead ahead of a potential switch to the Premier League.
With Ashley Williams and Phil Jagielka 33 and 35 respectively, the addition of another centre-back will surely feature highly on Marco Silva's wish-list, and for just £8.8 million, Juanpe could be just the man for the job.
This summer will be a vitally important one for Silva, as far as his player recruitment goes, and if he manages to bring the Girona man to Everton, it could prove to be a signing of real significance for the Merseyside outfit.
