Bielsa was confirmed as Paul Heckingbottom’s replacement at Leeds United last week.

The Daily Mirror (liveblog entry 13:48) has named Manuel Cabit as Marcelo Bielsa’s first target as Leeds United manager.
Bielsa’s appointment was confirmed on Friday after a lengthy Leeds pursuit, and the veteran Argentine already appears to have identified one area in need of strengthening.
According to the Daily Mirror, he has ‘joined the queue for Cabit’, who plays as a left-back for AC Ajaccio.

The newspaper adds, however, that the Leeds boss faces competition from three more French sides, Lens, Metz and Montpellier – the latter of whom will compete in Ligue 1 next season.
Cabit – who is of Martiniquais descent – moved to his Corsican employers from Béziers two years ago, for what was his first taste of Ligue 2 football, and has made 45 appearances according to Transfermarkt – which states that his contract expires at the end of this month.
The 25-year-old began his career on the books of FC Sochaux-Montbéliard, but failed to make a first team appearance there.

Leeds encountered problems in Cabit’s position after last summer’s loss of Charlie Taylor to Burnley, with Gaetano Berardi, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Laurens de Bock all struggling to make the position their own.
Tom Pearce impressed in a handful of late-season outings there, although he, along with fellow youngster Tyler Denton, have been linked with moves away from Elland Road.
