Did Liverpool fans put new rivalry with Tottenham aside?
But not quite everyone was able to bring themselves to celebrate Kane's injury time header.
Liverpool fans stoked up quite the rivalry with Tottenham Hotspur over the final four months of the season, with Kane at the heart of it.
He was accused of diving for a penalty at Anfield by Reds defender Virgil van Dijk, before his determination to beat Mohamed Salah to the Golden Boot ruffled even the Egyptian's feathers.
The Tottenham centre forward now has two goals to his name and Panama are up next.
Some Liverpool supporters did not know how to react to his brace, with some celebrating regardless, and others referring to Mohamed Salah and even singing a song about the Reds forward.
Here is a look at the reaction...
Because I cant bring myself to celebrate harry kane I decided to sing Mo Salah instead when he scored— Klopps Reds (@KloppsKop1) June 18, 2018
Standard Kane. Does nothing all game and still manages to score too. Rivaling G. Jesus for the most useless striker with many goals.— Pacey Salah (@Godwinla1) June 18, 2018
I don’t understand why Spurs fans think Liverpool hate Spurs! We don’t! I don’t hate Kane, I’m very glad he scored two goals for England and I hope he gets the golden boot.— Seb Patrick (@sebpatrick) June 18, 2018
It’s just Salah is better
Still want salah to win this golden boot too inshallah but Kane can come second again xx— T (@txrin_) June 18, 2018
