Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka is being linked with a big summer move.
Celta Vigo midfielder Stanislav Lobotka has told Pravda in his native Slovakia that he is in talks with Napoli – and has interest from a mystery Premier League club.
Lobotka, 23, started out with Trencin in his native Slovakia before spells with Jong Ajax and Nordsjaelland, with his impressive displays in Denmark earning him a move to Celta Vigo last summer.
The midfielder has been a regular for Celta over the last year, appearing in all 38 of their La Liga games, with 34 starts to his name as he earned fans throughout the season, comparing him to Real Madrid's Luka Modric.
Diminutive Lobotka stands at just 5ft 7in tall, and whilst he didn't record a goal or an assist this past season, his creativity and passing range saw him become a star in Spain.
Unsurprisingly, the Slovakian international has now earned major interest, with Lobotka himself admitting that he is in talks with another club ahead of next season.
Lobotka has told Pravda in his native Slovakia that he is in talks with Italian side Napoli, but there is one mystery English club in the running for his signature, even though they aren't quite as strong in their interest as Napoli.
With Napoli confirmed as interested and an English club in the running, according to Lobotka, it seems that Spurs may well be the other team interested – but Mauricio Pochettino's men will need to move quickly if they are to beat Napoli.
