According to a report in the Telegraph, Marco Silva is keen to give Everton’s Morgan Schneiderlin a chance at Goodison Park next season.

Silva is keen to offload many of Everton’s fringe players this summer, as he looks to trim his squad.

However, the Portuguese boss has reportedly decided that Schneiderlin still has a part to play at Everton, after doing a u-turn.

The Guardian suggested that Everton had put Schneiderlin up for sale, but Silva seems to have changed his mind after meeting with the 28-year-old

The French international struggled for form over the past campaign, and was criticised by many Everton supporters.

Schneiderlin’s attitude was called into question, with Toffees fans accusing him of not putting in enough effort.

Morgan Schneiderlin of Everton arrives at the stadium prior to the Premier League match between Everton and West Ham United at Goodison Park on November 29, 2017 in Liverpool, England.

Silva thinks he could get the best out of Schneiderlin though, and wants to keep him around for next season.

Schneiderlin could now form part of Silva’s midfield next term, as Everton look to improve on their disappointing campaign this time around.
