West Ham United have reportedly considered targeting a move to sign Jordan Lukaku this summer.

The Hammers are looking to follow up the appointment of Manuel Pellegrini by making some real statements in the transfer market following a season that saw the club considered potential relegation candidates for much of the campaign.

However, he is not the only player that West Ham are discussing potentially signing from the Biancocelesti, with the Mail reporting that Lukaku – brother of Manchester United striker Romelu – has also been talked about.

Lukaku has struggled to establish himself in the Lazio side this past season. Though he made 30 Serie A appearances, he started just 10 times with Senad Lulic tending to hold down the left wing-back role in the side.
West Ham are arguably looking fairly strong in that sort of area of the field, with Aaron Cresswell and Arthur Masuaku both available to Pellegrini. But perhaps the new Hammers boss believes that Lukaku would be a good addition as he seemingly targets a significant overhaul of the squad this summer.
