Sheffield United are in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer.
The Blades enjoyed a fine return to the Championship by clinching a top half finish, and they will be hoping to push towards the top six next season.
Manager Wilder will be looking for reinforcements, and he will be looking to resolve his goalkeeping situation sooner rather than later as summer transfer business gets going.
Wilder does have Simon Moore and Jake Eastwood at his disposal, but a goalkeeper will be signed this summer to take the starting role – and Jamal Blackman's name is leading the conversation.
Blackman, 24, spent last season on loan with Sheffield United having been once again farmed out by parent club Chelsea, and he made 31 Championship appearances for the Blades.
The 6ft 6in stopper largely impressed for United, and the Sheffield Star report that Blackman wants to return to Bramall Lane this summer, presumably in another loan deal.
However, it's noted that manager Wilder is keeping his options open and is looking elsewhere too, with a final decision expected to be communicated to Blackman in the near future.
The Mirror reported on Monday that the Blades want Manchester United's Dean Henderson on loan, and he may be one of a number of stoppers on Wilder's wish list as he considers alternative targets to Blackman.
