10M for someone who hasn’t yet filled potential and has looked unsettled since Jacob has left isn’t altogether bad business.

Anything over £10m for Murphy is good business. Even in today’s market you’d have to say he’s worth about £5m-6m, so it certainly makes sense. Also allows the club to be even more robust regarding keeping or getting the best possible fee for Maddison.

My final word on Josh Murphy: a great young talent who never pushed on. He’ll be an asset to any counter attacking side but has left it too late to progress due to low footballing intelligence. I expect he’ll do well for Cardiff. And the reported £10m is a great deal. #ncfc #ccfc

Always feel Murphy plays within himself, no doubt not helped by his treatment from some of our “fans” but on his day he is a quality. That said given our current financial plight £10 million + is a very good deal & will hopefully allow us to strengthen a couple of areas
