Liverpool were dealt a blow over the weekend as a deal for Lyon star Nabil Fekir ultimately fell through – and Jurgen Klopp will be in the market for attacking reinforcements.

The Reds have already secured midfielder Fabinho from Monaco, and had hoped to seal the signature of Fekir before Lyon pulled the plug on a deal at the last minute.

Finding another creavie player will be a priority, but Klopp is also looking at other attackers to boost his options beyond stars such as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Another pacey winger to cover for Mane could be a priority, and the Liverpool Echo report that Klopp is now keen on a deal for Gent forward Moses Simon.

Simon, 22, started out in his native Nigeria before heading to the Netherlands with Ajax, Slovakia with Trencin and then Belgium with Gent, having made a January 2015 move.

The diminutive attacker, who can play out wide or up front, has blistering pace and has hit 21 goals in 136 games for the club, averaging around just five goals a season.

Simon won't be at the World Cup due to injury, but Liverpool are believed to be lining up a £10million swoop for the speedster this summer as cover for Mane.

Now, Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to offer their reaction to the rumours, suggesting that Simon would be a bargain at just £10million, and the Reds should get a deal done as it's a 'no brainer' to bring him to Anfield to give Mane a break at times.
