West Brom fans have been reacting on Twitter to the reports that emerged out of Sky Sports over the weekend which suggested that the Baggies had made a £7 million bid to sign Bobby Reid from Bristol City this summer.

The Telegraph has recently reported that relegation has left the futures of Jay Rodriguez and Salomon Rondon uncertain, and it appears that West Brom are preparing to bolster their striker options during the coming months.

Sky Sports reports that a £7 million bid for Reid has been lodged after his superb campaign in the second tier. The 25-year-old scored 19 league goals and 21 in all competitions for the Robins after being converted into a striker by Lee Johnson.

That goalscoring record coupled with his versatility - he was previously a midfielder before moving up front - means that it is little surprise that he is attracting attention this summer, and the reports of West Brom's interest has left the club's supporters feeling extremely excited.

Reid has shown that he can be lethal at Championship level and the Baggies may well need that kind of goalscoring return if they are to make sure that their top flight exile is brief. And the fans seem to believe that he could be the ideal target to pursue.
