Alan Hutton is out of contract at Aston Villa this summer.

Steven Gerrard’s Glasgow Rangers have been linked with Alan Hutton, with The Birmingham Mail claiming that returning to Ibrox is an option for the Aston Villa defender.
Hutton, who started his professional club career at Rangers and left the Ibrox club in 2008, is out of contract at Villa this summer.
According to The Birmingham Mail, the Villans are yet to offer the 33-year-old right-back a new contract.

The former Tottenham Hotspur defender, though, could still remain at Villa Park. According to The Mirror (Transfer Live blog, 18:39pm, Friday, June 8, 2018), Hutton has not given up on a new contract at the Villans.
It has been reported that Hutton is willing to take a pay-cut from his £15,000-a-week salary and stay at Villa.

Boost for Aston Villa?
If Hutton is willing to stay at Villa and is open to taking a pay-cut to do so, then the Villans should hand him a new deal.
Although the former Rangers star is 33 years of age, he can still do a good job in the Championship for one or two more seasons.
With FFP issues around Villa, they could do with an experienced defender who is willing to take a pay-cut and remain at Villa Park.
