The 28-year-old midfielder, who moved to City from the Villans in the summer of 2015 and earns £80,000 per week as salary according to The Daily Star, has expressed his joy at playing for England at his old stomping ground.
Delph told The Yorkshire Post: “It is where it all started for me, so to come back and put on the England shirt in front of my home fans, it is a dream come true. I miss it like you would not believe. It was emotional and a moment I will never forget.”
