Leeds United have agreed a deal in principle with Marcelo Bielsa regarding the managerial role at Elland Road, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Leeds have agreed personal terms with Bielsa and hope to appoint him as the head coach in the next seven days.

A salary package has been agreed, but the Argentine wants guarantees over his budget to convince him to take charge of the Championship club, according to the report.

The report in The Mirror is very positive indeed, and it shows that things are moving forward in discussions between Bielsa and Leeds.

One can understand why the former Athletic Bilbao manager would watch some kind of assurance over the budget.
