Oliver McBurnie has praised former Glasgow Rangers youngster Billy Gilmour’s performance for Scotland under-21’s yesterday.

Scotland took on England in the Toulon Tournament yesterday, and although the Tartan Army were beaten, Gilmour still caught the eye with his display.

And McBurnie was full of praise for the youngster, who left Rangers to join Chelsea last year.

The message was made more interesting, as McBurnie has been heavily linked with a move to Rangers this summer.

The Daily Record have suggested that the Swansea forward will make the move to Ibrox, but no deal has been agreed yet.

Gilmour is still only 16, and was regarded as one of Rangers top talents, so there was great disappointment when he did depart Ibrox to join Chelsea.

And it seems that McBurnie could be disappointed to have been deprived of the opportunity to link up with Gilmour, if he does join Rangers in the coming weeks.
