Forest are one of a number of clubs credited with interest in Posh striker Jack Marriott, whose departure from London Road is looking increasingly likely after the arrival of Matt Godden on Monday.
Asked if Marriott is leaving the League One side, MacAnthony replied:
He’s left already— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) 5 June 2018
To Spain on holiday https://t.co/tnNjAPsD2u
And his response to the notion that Marriott could be staying at the family home of Nottingham Forest's Spanish manager Aitor Karanka has provoked an excited reaction among some Reds fans.
Funny, Aitor is in Spain at moment https://t.co/SeIdRkIhSW— Darragh MacAnthony (@DMAC102) 5 June 2018

Marriott scored 33 goals in his first season at Peterborough, who have priced the 23-year-old at £6.5 million, according to the Sun.
And, unsurprisingly, the newspaper claims that Forest are not alone in their interest, with Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday all keen.
Posh sold another prolific striker Britt Assombalonga to Nottingham Forest for £5.5 million four years ago - a player who landed the Reds a near £10 million profit upon signing for Middlesbrough last summer.
