According to Brazilian publication UOL, Wolves made an offer for the South American front man last week as they aim to add a top quality striker to their ranks after cruising to the Championship title last season.

Willian Jose is a 6ft 1ins target man who appears to have the natural physical attributes to succeed in English football. He is not bad in front of goal either, notching a career-best 18 times in all competitions for Real Sociedad in 2017/18.

In fact, he has hit double figures in each of the last four seasons for Sociedad, Las Palmas and Real Zaragoza, and has frightened the life out of countless La Liga defences with his power and thunderous shooting ability.

It is not known how much Wolves have offered for the uncapped Brazilian, who was left out of Tite’s World Cup squad. But, according to the Chronicle, Sociedad demanded £30 million last summer, pricing out both Everton and Newcastle United.
