ABN AMRO makes senior Asia Pacific appointments in Transportation & Logistics

ABN AMRO Christian Nolting

ABN AMRO Bank N.V. has appointed Christian Nolting and Nicolay Kuhnle as Directors in its Global Transportation & Logistics Asia-Pacific team.

Based in Singapore, Christian and Nicolay will support Asia-Pacific Head of Transportation & Logistics Darryl Tan in expanding and deepening the bank’s coverage particularly with clients in its shipping segment.

Christian started his career with Deutsche Bank in Germany before relocating to Asia in 2008. Possessing a strong Credit Risk background having assessed and approved Structured Asset Financing transactions for a number of years, Christian joins ABN AMRO from NORD/LB where he was Deputy Head of Ship Finance for Asia Pacific. In previous roles, he originated, structured and led shipping transactions while strengthening the strategic dialogue with maritime clients. Christian completed an Executive MBA from Nanyang Business School in Singapore.

Nicolay joins the Asia Pacific team from ABN AMRO’s Transportation & Logistics office in Oslo, Norway, where he was involved in several milestone transactions with shipping and offshore clients. In addition, Nicolay has completed secondments with Risk, Loan & Debt Capital Markets and Financial Restructuring & Recovery departments with the bank. Nicolay has previous experience working as a shipbroker and with a shipping company. He holds a Master of Science in Shipping, Trade and Finance from London’s Cass Business School.
