The Premier League season is over and it's full steam ahead towards the World Cup, with international teams in action – even the ones who won't be in Russia this summer.

Walker Zimmerman, Josh Sargent and Timothy Weah all got on the scoresheet for a youthful US side, which also featured 19-year-old Weston McKinnie, 20-year-old Matthew Olosunde and 21-year-old Erik Palmer-Brown.

Another youngster featured as Antonee Robinson started at left back in his international debut, playing 90 minutes as he helped the US keep a clean sheet in Monday's friendly.

Robinson, 20, has been on the books with Everton since 2008, and whilst he has yet to feature for the Toffees, he impressed on loan with Bolton Wanderers last season, and US fans have hailed him.

Fans took to Twitter to praise Robinson for his pace, attacking prowess and defensive play, claiming he served a 'dominant performance' whilst suggesting that he should the the United States' left back of the future after such an impressive debut.

Not only could Robinson be the left back of the future for his country, but his display may just help him at club level too. Everton are in desperate need of a young left back to eventually succeed Leighton Baines, and talented youngster Robinson may just give the Toffees belief that their future left back is under their nose after all.
