Tottenham Hotspur’s Under-19’s have been in action in the Netherlands this weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Scott Parker has told the club’s official website that he feels striker Troy Parrott has ‘stood out’ during the Terborg Tournament this weekend.
Whilst Tottenham’s season ended a fortnight ago, their Under-19’s have been in action in the Netherlands this weekend in the annual Terborg Tournament.
On Friday night, a 10-man Spurs side lost 1-0 to Danish counterparts FC Midtjylland, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Dutch side Heerenveen.

Unfortunately, Spurs lost 3-1 to Brazilian outfit Atletico Paranaense on Sunday, and then beat Club Brugge 1-0 as Parys Maghoma’s goal won the fifth-place play-off against the Belgian side.
Tottenham will have been hoping for better, given their reputation for developing young players in recent years, but it seems a couple of players did stand out for boss Scott Parker.
Parker has told the club’s official website that he was pleased to see Brooklyn Lyons-Foster return to action after a lengthy lay-off, whilst he also praised striker Troy Parrott for standing out over the course of the weekend.

“It’s a big positive for Brook, coming back from such a long time out, and he’s had a good tournament so far,” added Scott. “Troy Parrott up front has stood out as well, so it’s been pleasing for those boys.”
Parrott, 16, has already emerged as a young star for the Ireland Under-17’s, and Spurs won the race for his signature in March 2017, beating off competition from a host of Premier League rivals.
Parrott told The Irish Independent earlier this year that he wants to emulate Harry Kane’s success with Spurs, and whilst he has a long, long way to go before getting anywhere close to that, Parker’s praise suggests Tottenham may have another young talent on their hands.
