The Liverpool Echo reported how Everton wanted Nabil Fekir back in 2015 when Roberto Martinez was in charge, and they must be regretting not pushing that transfer through now.

And if he does move to Anfield, there is sure to be some officials at Everton wondering what might have been.

Everton had spotted Fekir’s talent before he was a big name, and Martinez wanted to bring him to Goodison Park.

However, they failed to get a deal done, with Fekir deciding to stick with Lyon.

Over the past three years, Fekir has developed into a prodigious talent, and he is now considered one of the most dangerous forward in Europe.

And if Fekir does move to Liverpool, Everton may well be regretting not taking their chance to sign the free-scoring attacker while they had their chance.
