Glasgow Rangers fans appear divided over whether Andy Halliday should be sold to Hibernian.
But the links with Hibs and Neil Lennon make the potential transfer a particularly interesting one for Rangers.
Hibs and Rangers’ relationship has been soured in recent times, over dealings with Scott Allan and the Scottish Cup final back in 2016.
Lennon is also far from popular at Rangers, given his Celtic connections.
And the potential transfer has divided supporters of the Gers.
While some Rangers fans have suggested that they simply wouldn’t do business with Hibs, others have claimed that they should take the deal.
Personally, if Hibs want Halliday I’d sell for £250,000. Good move for all parties and a good move for Halliday from a football POV. Shake hands, thank him for his efforts and move on.— Jamie (@jamiecurrie89) May 17, 2018
Personally id never do business with them again.— Dean (@deanomac54) May 17, 2018
Personally I’d prefer if we didn’t do business with them in any way— Lord Papsmann (@papsmann) May 17, 2018
Be surprised if Halliday goes to Hibs but it's just good to hear of the clearout we need possibly starting. I'm no fussed by how handsome or staunch you are it's got to happen!— Kellyann (@kellyk19781) May 18, 2018
Take him.... please !!!!— Marc McInally (@MarcMcInally1) May 18, 2018
Halliday to Hibs. Would prefer to keep him, good squad player to have— RangersEuroAnalysis (@RangersInEurope) May 18, 2018
He's no good enough. Just give him a season ticket and get him back in the stand— S A Y E R S Y (@sayersy1872) May 18, 2018
Halliday has only been a back-up player at Rangers for most of the campaign, and spent the first half of the season out on loan at Gabala.
