You have to admit that West Ham have shown some much-needed ambition in discarding David Moyes.
The Scot did a decent job in his six months at the London Stadium, helping The Hammers finish the 2017/18 season comfortably in mid-table after flirting with relegation under Slaven Bilic. But it always seemed unlikely that Moyes was the man to usher in this exciting new era the fans are pining for, never mind bring back a return to the so-called ‘West Ham way’.
But it appears that, for all West Ham’s best efforts, one of their top managerial replacements isn’t keen on the job.
Fonseca is one of Europe’s most exciting young coaches. Just last season, he led Shakhtar to the domestic treble and the Champions League knock-out phase while playing some of the finest football on the continent.
It is understood that The Hammers are now hoping to lure Rafa Benitez or Manuel Pellegrino to the English capital – but what are the chances that they will give Sullivan the same answer as Fonseca?

To be fair many would be interested until they meet Sullivan. I wouldn’t be surprised if his son sits in on it too. Amateur as usual. Pellegrini I see mooted but he’s not the young future we were promised either....— Colin (@CassCol) May 16, 2018

Hate feeling like it but can't help it. No optimism whatsoever. It'll end up being a washed up pathetic manager— Aran. (@AranNicolWHUFC) May 16, 2018
