Motherwell are Celtic's last hurdle on their way to a domestic treble and Boyata is ready to put his body on the line.

Dedryck Boyata of Celtic arrives at the stadium prior to the Scottish Premier League match between Celtic and Rangers at Celtic Park on April 29, 2018 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Celtic are 90 minutes away from successfully retaining their domestic treble and making history.

The Hoops and Motherwell clash at Hampden Park on Saturday and, having already attempted to deny Brendan Rodgers' men the Scottish League Cup last year, the Steelmen are ready to go any length to clinch the Scottish Cup.

Well winger Chris Cadden claims his side are ready and willing to "get in about" Celtic come Saturday, with the chance of winning the club's first trophy since 1991 an opportunity the players are not willing to let slip through their hands a second time.

However, Bhoys' centre-back Dedryck Boyata has vowed he is raring to go and more than ready to put his body on the line should Motherwell indeed get physical.

"I don't moan about it - I'm a defender. I play against physical teams, physical strikers," the Belgium international said, as reported by BBC Scotland.

"It's not something that I would moan about in the changing room because I got an elbow in the face or whatever. I look forward to it."

Boyata has once again been integral to Celtic's domestic successes this season, despite starting the campaign on the treatment table.

The 27-year-old started 38 games across all competitions and is looking forward to rounding it all up with another winners' medal.

Including November's League Cup final which Celtic won 2-0, both teams have met four times this term, with Motherwell managing to squeeze out two draws while losing 5-1 at Parkhead.

A tough encounter awaits on Saturday, with the Steelmen fighting from first kick to last.

Given Boyata's assurances, though, Celtic will not be resting on their laurels either, with another chance to go into the record books on offer.
