Edmondson made his debut for the Leeds first team in the Championship this season and was also part of the West Yorkshire outfit’s AYA Bank Tour 2018 of Myanmar this month.
Heckingbottom has praised the 16-year-old striker’s hard work, and told Leeds’s official website: “One of his attributes is how hard he works, his personalty, and hopefully that will help go and have a really good career.”
Edmondson is a very talented and promising young striker who is still developing and progressing as a footballer.
The former York City youngster is only 16, and making his debut for one of the biggest clubs in England in Leeds at this tender age underlines his massive potential.
What is important for Edmondson now is to work hard and continue to impress Leeds head coach Heckingbottom.
Edmondson should not expect to be part of the Leeds first team on a regular basis next season, as the 16-year-old should be focusing more on the youth teams for now.
Leeds endured a disappointing 2017-18 campaign, as they failed to finish in the top six of the Championship.
