Steven Gerrard’s Rangers and Brendan Rodgers’s Celtic have been linked with Youssouf Mulumbu of Kilmarnock in the summer transfer window.
According to a report in The Daily Mail, Rangers and Celtic are interested in signing Mulumbu on a free transfer in the summer of 2018.
The 31-year-old former West Bromwich Albion midfielder, who is out of contract at Kilmarnock at the end of the season, is reportedly also on the radar of Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen and Hibernian.
The DR Congo international has been playing well for Killie this season and was superb against Celtic this week.
The former Norwich City midfielder did well during Kilmarnock’s goalless draw with Celtic away from home at Celtic Park in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday evening.
Celtic fans were impressed with the performance of Mulumbu and want the Glasgow giants to sign him in the summer transfer window, as reported on HITC Sport.
Mulumbu has retweeted that story, as shown below, perhaps a hint that he would be open to joining Celtic - instead of Old Firm rivals Rangers maybe? - in the summer transfer window.
Or maybe Mulumbu simply decided to retweet HITC Sport’s story as he was pleased to see opposition fans sing his praises.
Rangers fans, though, would be disappointed if the midfielder joins Celtic, as the Ibrox faithful also want him, as reported on HITC Sport.
