Premier League outfit West Ham United need defensive reinforcements and could consider former Ajax youngster Stefano Denswil.

There are a number of positions underachieving West Ham need to strengthen this summer and centre-back could be one of them.
James Collins is out of contract this summer and Winston Reid is also facing an uncertain future at the London Stadium, the Daily Star claiming that the long-serving New Zealand international is on ‘borrowed time’.
So this explains why West Ham’s assistant manager Stuart Pearce decided to run the rule over Club Brugge left-back Stefano Denswil during his recent scouting trip to Belgium.

It is understood that Anderlecht’s coveted midfielder Leander Dendoncker was the main reason for his visit to the Jan Breydel Stadium but Denswil was also being checked out.
The 25-year-old is a former Dutch youth international who started his career at Ajax before moving to Belgium in 2015. Perhaps unsurprisingly given that he learned his trade at the home of Total Football, Denswil is a technically gifted centre-back renowned for his ability to start attacks from deep.

He has stood out this season for a Brugge side who are top of the Jupiler League table. And The Mail adds that Denswil has been offered to West Ham in recent months with Brugge obviously aware that the Londoners were scouring the Belgian market.
It remains to be seen, however, what David Moyes thinks of the powerful centre-back. It is understood that he wants players with Premier League experience this summer.
