Paul Heckingbottom has failed to turn Leeds’ fortunes around, but owner Andrea Radrizzani has restored his confidence.

The talks took place before Leeds’ 2-1 win over Heckingbottom’s former side, only his third win in 15 matches since taking over from Thomas Christiansen at Elland Road.

Pressure has been mounting on Heckingbottom’s shoulders as he failed to reignite the spark that had seen Leeds start impressively in the Championship this season. Instead of sitting in the play-offs, Leeds are way down in 14th place.
The report, written by respected journalist Phil Hay, claims that Radrizzani held talks with Heckingbottom over his future as manager of the Championship giants.

The talks are said to have restored the confidence in the 40-year-old manager, who is now expecting to remain in charge at Elland Road throughout the summer and start the 2018-19 campaign in the dugout.
Leeds finish their Championship campaign on Saturday, as they play host to Ian Holloway’s QPR at Elland Road before venturing on a controversial trip to war-torn Myanmar to play two friendlies later this month.
