Leeds United’s current top earners are on £15,000-a-week at Elland Road.

Andrea Radrizzani, Owner of Leeds United looks on during the Sky Bet Championship match between Bristol City and Leeds United at Ashton Gate on October 21, 2017 in Bristol, England.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Andrea Radrizzani is finally set to lift Leeds United’s salary cap this summer.

Leeds’ top earners currently earn £15,000-a-week, which pales in comparison to what some of their rivals in the Championship are paying.

However, Radrizzani reportedly is willing to offer larger salaries to Leeds’ top targets this summer.

Leeds want to bring in Kyle Bartley, and they are confident that they can offer him a contract that will lure him to Elland Road.

And if Leeds are paying bigger wages they may well find more options available to them on the transfer market.

Leeds have tended to avoid going for proven Championship players, in favour of wildcard options from abroad, but that approach has not paid dividends.

Victor Orta has been heavily criticised by Leeds fans, with the Whites’ transfers last summer highly questionable.

But with more money to spend on wages, Leeds may just be able to land some more ambitious targets in the upcoming transfer window.
