Newcastle United and Celtic managers, Rafael Benitez and Brendan Rodgers, have been linked with the job at Arsenal.

Benitez and Rodgers have both been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal, after Arsene Wenger confirmed he would be leaving at the end of the season.
However, Sky Sports News claimed in a broadcast on 23rd April that neither the Celtic or Newcastle managers were candidates to takeover at the Emirates Stadium.

“It is our understanding that Brendan Rodgers and Rafael Benitez are not strong candidates to take over,” Sky Sports News said.
The update is sure to go down well at both Newcastle and Celtic, who are keen to keep hold of their current bosses.
Benitez remains a hugely popular figure at Newcastle, as he has guided them to promotion to the Premier League and comfortably kept them in the top flight.

Rodgers, meanwhile, has enjoyed great success since moving to Celtic.
Rodgers won the domestic treble during his first season with the Bhoys, and could well repeat the feat again this campaign.
