Leeds fans react to Pontus Jansson update

Leeds United fans don't care that Pontus Jansson could be fit for this afternoon's clash with Barnsley.

Leeds United fans on Twitter do not seem overly bothered about Pontus Jansson's fitness boost.

The Sweden centre-back returned to training on Friday and could be available to return for Leeds in this afternoon's visit of Barnsley at Elland Road.

Jansson, a £3.6 million permanent signing last summer, missed the 1-0 defeat at Aston Villa eight days ago through injury.

And although he is contention to face Paul Heckingbottom's old side, plenty of United fans on Twitter have turned on the man who was unaninmously adored by the Whites' fanbase last season.

The perception about the former Torino and Malmo star is quite a contrast to how Leeds fans felt about him last season, when he and Kyle Bartley formed one of the best centre-back duos in the Championship.

But his form has dipped without the Swansea man beside him this season and the no-nonsense, passionate figure who supporters once loved has a job on his hands to reclaim some of their affections.
