Liverpool will have Joe Gomez available for the Champions League semi-finals.
Joe Gomez is closing on a return to fitness and is expected to recover in time for Liverpool's Champions League first leg with Roma.
It adds that 'at the very least' he will be available for selection against Roma for their semi-final at Anfield the following midweek.
Gomez has played only one Premier League game since January and missed Liverpool's Champions League ties with Manchester City.
He may not be a guaranteed starter if he returns, but Gomez offers Liverpool an extra option across all defensive positions.
The Reds had a minor scare when Dejan Lovren came off at the weekend with Ragnar Klavan replacing him, although the centre-back's injury is not thought to be serious.
Gomez will be battling with Lovren to be third choice centre-back, with Joel Matip out until the end of the season.
Liverpool's defence has been much improved since Virgil van Dijk signed in January and getting Gomez back is a further boost.
