Celtic handed Rangers a 4-0 thrashing during Sunday's Scottish Cup semifinals, and the losing team did not react well as tempers allegedly boiled over.
Rangers ended the game with a man less after Ross McCrorie was sent off for hacking down Moussa Dembele in the box five minutes into the second half, while the duo of Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty reportedly squared up to each other after the final whistle according to the Daily Record.
The whole Gers team had a game to forget, and the aforementioned allegedly took it out on themselves, with centre-back Bruno Alves acting as peacemaker.
Things reportedly took a turn for the worse in the tunnel and it is claimed the players had to be separated before things got out of hand.
Fans on Twitter had a field day mocking the duo, and here are some of their reactions:
MASSIVE internal issues at Ibrox on and off the park, a truly directionless team, a board of directors bereft of finance and the business acumen to move them forward, what a time to be alive— jhungle jhim (@jhunglejhim) April 16, 2018

Halliday having a breakdown on the bench, the other gimp going straight down the tunnel after being subbed Sevco are falling apart.— Chris Egan (@CelticChris1916) April 16, 2018
im all for players having a ding dong if it for benefit of team, however I think this one's about egos. I bet Sutton's seen and or been involved in his time, for benefit of team. Stand up after it get on with it, however with this one I see a meltdown coming— Stephen Lafferty (@slaffertys) April 16, 2018
A non-story this if Morelos would have tried to hit anyone he would have undoubtedly missed!— Jason Melling (@jrm0071) April 16, 2018

If only they showed that fighting spirit on the field
Graeme Murty has rubbished claims of a bust-up between Alfredo Morelos and Greg Docherty.— Oldfirmfacts (@Oldfirmfacts1) April 16, 2018
"None of my players showed any fight whatsoever"
The irony is Morelos and Docherty are arguing after the final whistle and that’s the most passion any Rangers player has shown all day.— West Mids Loyal (@WestMidsLoyal) April 15, 2018
With Rangers out of the only competition they had a fair chance of winning, manager Murty and his men will now fully concentrate on finishing in second place behind Celtic in the Premiership.
Given the recent unrest within the squad, Murty needs to quickly resolve any differences between the players if they are to approach the post-split fixtures with total concentration and zero distractions.
