Manchester City were confirmed as Premier League champions on Sunday afternoon, with Manchester United losing 1-0 at home to West Bromwich Albion – but title challenges are ongoing elsewhere.

Over in Portugal, Benfica and Porto are once again battling for the league title, and they met each other at the Estadio da Luz on Sunday evening for a match which was destined to shape the title race.

It looked as though the game would be ending in a 0-0 draw, but there was a late twist in the tale as Porto midfielder Hector Herrera popped up with the winning goal in the 90th minute.

That means that Porto have leapfrogged Benfica into top spot, tow points clear of the Lisbon side with just four games to play, and it seems that the game was of interest to Premier League clubs.

Portugoal's Tiago Estevao posted a full list of scouts attending Sunday's big game, and fans will have noticed the likes of Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United all watching the game.

Benfica have a number of exciting talents who could be eyed up by those clubs; Everton are looking for a left back, with Alejandro Grimaldo fitting the bill, whilst Ruben Dias and Andrija Zivkovic both look set for huge futures.

Meanwhile, Porto striker Moussa Marega has been heavily linked with both Everton and West Ham, with Ricardo Pereira, Alex Telles and Yacine Brahimi no doubt of interest too ahead of the summer transfer window.
