Everton drew 1-1 with Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.
Everton's season continues to peter out as they drew 1-1 at Swansea City on Saturday afternoon, with question marks still hanging over Sam Allardyce's role as manager.
The Toffees had drawn 0-0 in a dour showing against Liverpool last weekend, and were hoping for better as they travelled down to South Wales – but ended up picking up another draw.
Everton did take the lead, as Kyle Naughton's own goal put the Toffees in front, only for Jordan Ayew to rescue a point for Swansea in the second half.
Everton added another point to their tally, but it was another fairly dismal performance from the Toffees, with Allardyce under increasing pressure ahead of the summer.
Toffees fans are far from impressed with Allardyce's tactics and team selection, and they were left baffled by the continued absence of midfielder Davy Klaassen on Saturday afternoon.
The Dutchman was a big-money signing from Ajax last summer but has endured a nightmare season, and has played just six minutes of Premier League action under Allardyce.
Klaassen wasn't even named on the bench against Swansea, and fans took to Twitter to suggest that there is no way Klaassen could possibly be worse than the players Allardyce is picking, suggesting that the 25-year-old must be given a chance before the end of the season.
You can't tell me that Vlasic and Klaassen are any worse than what we have had on the pitch today.— Scott Morris (@Scott_MorrisEfc) April 14, 2018
Switched this off now because I’d rather slave over a dissertation than watch this utter trash.— Elliott Cuff (@CuffWrites) April 14, 2018
Farhad, please, just sack him. How can Klaassen and Vlašić be worse than what we currently play?!
It’s all getting too much for me, this.
There is absolutely no way Klaassen would do worse than half of these players.— Chris Larsen (@the_penguinator) April 14, 2018
Klaassen wouldn't do any worse than our midfield are now. Vlasic wouldn't do any worse than Bolasie is right now.— James (@jamesneill1878) April 14, 2018
This game so far is why Davies and Klaassen should be playing every game for the rest of the season. What more do we need to see from Schneiderlin and Rooney? Awful. #EFC— Terry McAllister (@terrymcallister) April 14, 2018
But if he played Klaassen we would be terrible— James (@JamesEFC_) April 14, 2018
It's ridiculous how Klaassen doesn't make it into this squad. Don't blame him if he want to leave in the summer, hopefully he will stay tho. He seems to have the right attitude. Shame we haven't seen much of him this season.— Everton Central (@EvertonCentral_) April 14, 2018
