Tony Watt has praised Celtic striker Moussa Dembele on social networking site Twitter for his performance against Rangers on Sunday afternoon.

Dembele was a star for Celtic in their Old Firm derby against Rangers at Hampden Park.

The 21-year-old striker was a handful for the Rangers defence and also scored from the penalty spot in the 52nd minute in the Hoops’ 4-0 victory in the Scottish Cup semi-final tie.

Former Celtic forward Watt was following the match, and the 24-year-old, who is a free agent at the moment, was impressed with the performance of Dembele.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon, Celtic had 53% of the possession, took 13 shots of which five were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.

Rangers had 47% of the possession, took four shots of which two were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.

Brendan Rodgers’s side will face Scottish Premiership rivals Motherwell in the final of the Scottish Cup.
