Wolves legend Steve Bull suggested that his former club should make a £30 million bid for Leicester striker Jamie Vardy in the summer, after they seal promotion back to the Premier League, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star.

The Black Country outfit have been quite simply superb this season, and currently sit comfortably at the top of the Championship table, with just six more points needed to guarantee promotion back to the top flight.

One particular area where Nuno Espirito Santo will undoubtedly want to strengthen is his centre-forward department, however, with Leo Bonatini failing to hit the heights that he reached during the first-half of the campaign, and Benik Afobe having not yet done enough to warrant a permanent deal at Molineux.

Bull, who scored a club record 306 goals for Wolves, urged his former side to spend big on Foxes hitman Jamie Vardy in the summer, when speaking exclusively to the Express & Star:

“I would sign, for £30 million, Jamie Vardy, you might get him for that. Natural goalscorer, pace in behind, holds the ball up as well, so I think he would do a job.”

Wolves fans will be looking forward to a busy summer in the transfer market, as their club will undoubtedly be looking to spend big, in an attempt to reach the big time, and there would be no better place to start than by bringing Vardy to Molineux.

The 31-year-old has scored 85 goals in 228 games for Leicester, and with his extensive Premier League experience, he would be an exceptional signing for the Black Country outfit.
