Aston Villa fans on social networking site Twitter want Jonathan Kodjia to start against Cardiff City.
Villa will take on Cardiff at Villa Park in the Championship on Tuesday evening.
Steve Bruce’s side will head into the match against the Welsh club on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Norwich City away from home at Carrow Road in the league.
The Villans are fourth in the league table at the moment with 73 points from 41 matches, seven points behind second-placed Cardiff, who have played a fewer game.
It is unlikely that Villa will finish in the top two of the Championship this season, but they do need to get some momentum ahead of the playoffs.
Villa fans on Twitter want manager Bruce to include Kodjia in the starting lineup against Cardiff at Villa Park this evening.
The 28-year-old Ivory Coast international forward, who cost the Villans an initial £11 million in transfer fees when they signed him from Bristol City in the summer of 2016 according to BBC Sport, has recovered from an ankle injury.
Time to put Grealish out left to rest Albert and to bring back some steel in DM (Whelan or Jedinak) to protect the back 4? Oh and time to give Kodjia his starting role back to get him up to match fitness for the playoffs? #avfc pic.twitter.com/RF5EPAFGUY— VillaAreBack17 (@RobertDerry1966) 9 April 2018
Hope he starts Kodjia up front tomorrow and not on the wing!! Not having Neil Taylor btw! #avfc— Aston Villa Updates (@AstonVilla_info) 9 April 2018
If he match fit Yes— Kieran Corrigan (@corrigan_kieran) 9 April 2018
On Tuesday I think Bruce with go with Tuanzebe at RB, Jedinak at DM with either Lansbury or Onomah in for Hourihane. Kodjia could replace Adomah who has looked tired and I think Grabban will be back in up front #avfc— SD (@SDVillan) 8 April 2018
451 formation has got to go.— Scott Robbins (@Scotty_Villa) 8 April 2018
Davis and kodjia upfront for me.
Some form needs to be had If we're gonna at all show some fight in the play offs! #AVFC
Where's Davis gone? Kodjia and Davis upfront if we're going to keep playing long balls and crossing it in. Need some height and physicality against Cardiff.— Emma Thompson (@EmzLouise18) 10 April 2018
Kodjia for Adomah, Grabban for Hogan, Any other player in the squad for Taylor, Jedi for Bjarnasson— Billy Powell (@Billy_p24) 10 April 2018
Kodjia for Adomah (has faded last few games), Jedinak for Thor, Hutton if fit for Taylor and play 4-4-2.— John Colclough (@jtccolclough) 10 April 2018
Want to see Kodjia start and get a good 75 mins under his belt. Also Green to start instead of Adomah who needs a rest, and then Tuanzebe instead of Taylor— Leon Whitehouse (@LLW1999_av) 10 April 2018
