PSV Eindhoven’s Marcel Brands has responded to speculation linking him with Everton.

PSV Eindhoven sporting director Marcel Brands has told Soccer News in the Netherlands that he isn’t sure whether he will be leaving the club for Everton this summer.
Brands, 56, has been a highly-regarded talent spotter in the Netherlands for some time now, and has helped PSV sign a number of key players since his 2010 move from AZ Alkmaar.
The Dutchman has helped bring Kevin Strootman, Georginio Wijnaldum, Dries Mertens, Jetro Willems, Jeffrey Bruma, Santiago Arias, Luuk de Jong, Andres Guardado, Davy Propper, Gaston Pereiro and Hirving Lozano to PSV, winning two league titles in the process.
Unsurprisingly, Brands’ record with PSV is attracting interest, with Sky Sports recently reporting that Everton are expecting to land him this summer.

Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is looking to move on from Steve Walsh after a number of disappointing signings, and Brands could be brought in due to his links with super-agent Mino Raiola.
Brands would only be moving on at the end of the season given that PSV are leading the way for the Eredivisie title, but he has now offered doubt on whether he will be moving to Goodison Park anyway.
Brands has told Soccer News in the Netherlands that he is flattered by Everton’s interest, but he isn’t a ‘clubhopper’ and loves his job and life in the Netherlands, meaning he may not want to move on.
“Everton, it’s flattering, but I’ve said no more than yes in recent years,” said Brands. “I also said yes to PSV only the second time, I have a very nice job and a nice life here, the question is whether I want to give it up, I’ve never been a clubhopper,” he added.
