Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to Manchester United's exit from the Champions League last night.

Marcus Rashford #19 of Manchester United runs down the ball as Kyle Walker #2 of Manchester City pursues at NRG Stadium on July 20, 2017 in Houston, Texas.

Tottenham Hotspur fans have cheekily suggested that Marcus Rashford now needs to leave Manchester United to fulfil his potential.

Tottenham supporters have grown sick of the narrative that their prized prospects would be better off elsewhere, as they have not won a trophy since 2008.

Spurs have enjoyed great success under Mauricio Pochettino, but there have been multiple suggestions that the likes of Dele Alli, Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen all need to be playing for a team which is lifting trophies.

However, following United’s exit from the Champions League, Tottenham supporters have got their own back.

United crashed out to Sevilla last night, which has left them asking whether Rashford also needs to move away from Old Trafford.

Tottenham and United both disappointed in the second-leg of their respective Champions League ties, but Jose Mourinho’s side’s exit was far more humiliating.

Spurs were unfortunate to come up against a side with the quality of Juventus, and they pushed them all the way.

United, however, never got going over the two legs against Sevilla, and unexpectedly crashed out earlier than anticipated.
