Sunderland fans have expressed anger after Jonny Williams was ruled out with injury yet again.
He said: “It is a grade two tear in his quad. That’s disappointing because it has been a tough season for Jonny, very stop-start.”
It is a familiar tale for the Welsh international, who has constantly picked up injuries throughout his time at the Stadium of Light.
And Sunderland supporters have finally run out of patience with the loanee, who was brought in from Crystal Palace at the start of the season.
Made of chocolate. He was out 3 weeks with a migraine earlier in the season ffs!— Jonathon McInnes (@jonnymac89) March 13, 2018
I'm sure Williams, like the other crocks, won't be losing any sleep !— Steve Reid (@richy_choc) March 13, 2018
Jonny Williams as good as he supposedly is... we never have or will see him at best for sustained amount of games as he is fragile and a sick note #SAFC— ftm (@Safcftm2016) March 13, 2018
He’s picked up every type of injury under the sun.— Sam (@SWPalace) March 13, 2018

Can Palace have him back, he’s utter dross and made of glass— SAFCDAVID (@DavidHindmarsh7) March 13, 2018
Am not even bothered that Williams is injured "again" as I've not seen him play enough to see what we are missing. Send him back were he came from.#safc— Kev Taylor (@SuperkevFTM) March 13, 2018
Coleman has spoken very positively of Williams’ ability, and he has shown flashes of quality when fit.
However, Williams’ failure to stay off the treatment table has proven very costly for Sunderland.
The Black Cats have lacked the creativity that Williams could have provided, and that is one of the reasons why they are entrenched in relegation trouble.
Sunderland are currently stuck at the bottom of the Championship table, with time running out for them to save themselves from the drop.
