Wolves fans react to reports of potential club-record move for Anderson Talisca

Wolverhampton Wanderers could not get a deal for Benfica attacker Anderson Talisca over the line in 2016, but he could finally be heading to Molineux.

Anderson Talisca to Wolves is back on. Well, according to the Turkish press anyway.

Anything seems possible at Molineux right now, so long as Jorge Mendes is pulling the strings and Chinese investors Fosun keep putting the money where their mouth is. Even rumours of a club-record 30 million euro deal for a player included in the Brazilian national squad last week deserve to be taken seriously.

As it stands, Talisca is on loan at Besiktas. After two years tearing it up in Turkey and netting 23 league goals, the reigning Super Lig champions have the chance to make his move from Portuguese giants Benfica permanent.

But, according to Milliyet, they do not want to pay the huge fee required, which has opened the door for Wolves to make a fresh move for a player who, you guessed it, is represented by Mr Mendes himself.

It is understood that Wolves are willing to pay a club-record fee of around £26.5 million for Talisca, who they were so heavily linked with back in the summer of 2016 when Fosun first took over the Midland giants.

And with promotion looking an inevitability, Wolves fans are getting a little giddy about the prospect of a front line comprising Talisca, Ivan Cavaleiro, Helder Costa and Diogo Jota.
