Moussa Dembele's strike against Rangers on Sunday was the Frenchman's 45th goal for Celtic since joining from Fulham in summer 2016.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a hugely successful spell in Glasgow, rising to prominence last season in the Champions League when he scored a number of emphatic goals against Pep Guardiola's Premier League giants Manchester City.
Having bagged 32 goals in his first season, he very much outshone his Celtic strike partner Leigh Griffiths, who has struggled with injury for large parts of Dembele's time with the Hoops.
Griffiths was only able to manage 18 goals last term, albeit in only 35 appearances, a still more than credible goal scoring record.
However, how do the two forwards compare at the points at which they hit 45 goals for the Bhoys?
Celtic fans will be interested to learn that both of their star strikers have nearly an identical record after reaching the 45 goal mark.
Both forwards hit the 45 goals mark in an impressively low number of games, with Griffiths achieving the statistic one game quicker than Dembele in 78 games. Griffiths also had slightly less starts than his French counterpart along the way, hitting the mark in only 53 starting appearances compared to Dembele's 56.
It should be highlighted, however, that Griffiths while being a few years older than Dembele, with the former Fulham man still only 21 years of age. Astonishing.
With such similar records, perhaps it is becoming more understandable why Brendan Rodgers has had such a headache over who to pick when both have been fit.
With Odsonne Eduoard Celtic's new star man, however, the Celtic boss now has even more food for thought, with the even younger Frenchman proving to be the Bhoys' match winner on their last two outings.
One thing is for sure though, and that is that Celtic have three more than credible options when it comes to the centre-forward position; a delight for any manager.
