Rafael Benitez has been proven exactly right not to move for Newcastle United’s Charly Musonda, due to the form of Kenedy.

Newcastle had a deal for Musonda lined up in January, according to the Chronicle, but decided against making the signing of the youngster.

Benitez knew that if Newcastle signed Musonda, they could not have Kenedy on loan from Chelsea, due to Premier League rules.

And the Spanish boss has been rewarded for showing great patience.
